X10 Configuration Settings – Just "Plug-n-Play"
(Used for the HOMS product)

X10 Module Addresses - Use the labeled modules included with HOMS or use additional X10 modules and configure according to the following list of addresses. Just connect the corresponding X10 modules of the functions you want to control. You can use only the functions you want to use and reserve others for another time.

  • Note1: Some types of X10 modules (depending on taste) require high voltage wiring and should be performed by a qualified electrician.
  • Note 2: Address A is used with the understanding that an X10 Coupler/blocker should be installed by a qualified electrician at the Circuit Breaker Box to prevent outside X10 signals from interfering with the residence X10. In addition, a more stable and dependable response will be delivered by installing the X10 Coupler/blocker.
  • Note 3: Appliances and apparatus (devices) that would result in a dangerous or hazardous condition should not be controlled using X10. Moreover, decisions made by monitoring the state of hazardous or dangerous devices should not be independently determined by the X10 state of the device. Connecting Hazardous or Dangerous devices in the address scheme below or otherwise should be done at the homeowners own risk. HOMS is not responsible for damages or the undesirable response of these devices using the X10 modules. Please read the manufacturer's recommendations.

STEP ONE: Addresses A, K, I must be installed for the primary features of Security Alarm, Video Surveillance and Lighting Control to function. Optional modules for extended features are addressed after these primary functions. It is recommended that the following connections (column 5) for the addresses in Housecodes A, K and I are connected first and that they are confirmed to function correctly prior to the installation of extended features. The X10 Module Type column indicates the required parts to connect the feature described in the third column itemized by address (column 1). Some addresses are internally used by the system and are indicated in the applicable addresses.

STEP TWO: Other Addresses used by the HOMS System are listed below. Some of these addresses are pre-configured; No X10 addressing or X10 modules are requireed for addresses with "NO CONNECTION" listed in the Connection column (Column 5). Housecode addresses B,C,D,E,F,G,H,J,L,M,O,P are used or partially used. The unused addresses on these housecodes may be configured by the user. Do not configure the addresses marked a Reserved. Housecode N is completely open for user expansion. See "Unused Addresses for User Expansion" in the HOMS Installation Manual for further information on using these addresses.
