ITRAN Communications Ltd. And High Speed, High Reliability CEBusÒ Compliant Communications
50kbps bit rates and Highly Robust Data Transmissions from Patent Pending DCSK Technology

ITRAN is a chip designer which aims at meeting the HA market’s needs for low-cost, seamlessly implemented PL and RF integrated circuits. Our first two families of chips, the IT5000 and IT800, are fully compatible with the CEBus PL standard, but offer fundamental improvements over existing CEBus compatible chips. The IT 5000 allows for information transfer rates of up to 50k bits/sec, 8 times faster than CEBus. The additional bandwidth provided by the IT5000 family opens a new world of PL applications including uncompressed voice and audio and some types of compressed video transfer. The IT 800 family, designed for applications which demand high-reliability PL communications, is significantly less vulnerable to on-line interference than are the competitors’ chips. The IT 800 is thus ideal for multi-appliance home networks and for out of home PL communications that demand high reliability.

ITRAN Communications Ltd. participated in the CES Habitech conference June 24-26 in Dallas, where we publicized our patent pending DCSK technology both on the exhibition floor and in several technical lecturers. Our goals in Dallas were simple:

  • to introduce ourselves to the HA industry as a chip designer and supplier, and
  • to illuminate the new world of fully compatible CEBus applications made possible by the increased bandwidth and improved reliability of our IT5000 and IT800 chip families.

ITRAN’s DCSK technology was the talk of the CEBus community and we were met with deep interest by OEMs, chip manufactures, utilities and HA systems vendors alike. With our goals in Dallas met and exceeded, ITRAN is now moving forward on the parallel paths of new circuit development and general marketing. In the coming two months we will make technical material and evaluation boards selectively available on our IT5000 family. Additional and constantly updated information on our company and its products can be found on our web site, at http://www.itrancomm.com. Look for technical sketches of our selectively available evaluation boards and technical data sheets on the IT5000 family in the coming weeks on our web site.
