The Concept
HTINews will present home automation information gathered from those of you interested in the topic and willing to submit articles, letters, experiences etc. The editor will organize and publish the information bi-monthly at this world wide web site.

Submissions
Submissions in the form of articles etc. for the newsletter are welcomed. Please review the "Submissions" section for details on how you can participate and support the HTINews.

The following is an initial breakdown of some topic areas to be covered in HTINews. The content of the newsletter will evolve from the interests of the audience.

Cost
HTINews will be provided free of charge. We rely on advertising, sponsorships and donations to maintain this service.

Recognition
Articles submitted to the newsletter will be recognized as follows:

• Feature Articles, Tours etc. - Email and / or www link + Free Sponsor Page or Classified Ad.
• Letters, opinions etc. - email link
• Tips, Reviews - email and / or www link.
• Events - email and / or www link (to event details if available)

Participation
Although HTI will provide content for the newsletter, the concept is to publish information submitted by those of you interested or involved in Home Automation. We encourage hobbyists and professionals alike to participate. The success of this newsletter will depend on your input.

Tips & Tricks Contest
Each issue, a prize will be awarded for the best home automation idea submitted. The ideas must be feasible using existing technology and the description should contain a list of components and the strategy. Ideas will be presented in the newsletter and the winner determined by a reader survey. Kinky stuff will not be published! Prizes will consist of home automation components.

Advertising
Contact HTINews (news@hometoys.com) for information about advertising in the newsletter. Banner Ads and Announcements are available for each issue.

In order to make ends meet, we are seeking corporate and individual sponsors. Sponsors will be recognized in the HTI Sponsor Showcase. Have a look.

Donations
We at HTI strongly support the shareware concept and would like to apply the same principles to this newsletter. If you like what you see and want to support HTINews we welcome your donations.

Distribution
In order to make the newsletter as convenient and economical as possible for our readers, we will post a .zip version (In addition to the online version) of the newsletter for downloading. In this way the newsletter can be enjoyed at your leisure using a web browser while offline.
