Plenum Rated Box
by Nigel Brent, Nigel B Design

Concealing the amplifier and all  equipment in one neat box mounted in the ceiling space.

If you wanted to improve the Sound Output of a Ceiling Mounted Projector, it was until recently an expensive proposition. This meant purchasing a bulky Amplifier, unnecessary cabling with everything mounted below the Ceiling space.

Nigel B Design has recently introduced a Plenum Rated Box that conceals everything in the Ceiling or Plenum Space, including the Nigel B Design's 45 watt RMS Amplifier, Power and all Cabling for the Projector is installed in one neat Enclosure. Best of all the Plenum Rated Box satisfies the Requirements of of NEC Code requirements as outlined in NEC Article 300.22c.

The Plenum Rated Box is a lightweight unit measuring 10" wide, 9 ½” deep and only 5" high needing only a 7" clearance Ceiling or Plenum Space. The entire unit consists of a Pole Mount and Plenum Box allowing all the Cables to enter and exit through the Split Pole Mount’s Assembly. The Plenum Rated Box with the Cover removed is fitted to the Pole Mount, and once fitted, wiring and equipment can be installed inside. Installation is very quick and simple, as the Box Cover is easily removed for the actual installation and at a later date for adjustments or servicing.

All Electrical Wiring is brought into the Box using wiring inside Conduit. The Conduit attaches to the side of the Box using a standard Conduit Connector terminating to a Single Gang Box inside. This Receptacle Box comes with two Outlets but can be increased to 6 Outlets using two 3 position Taps. An additional Port is provided on the Pole Mount for any extra audio cabling so that everything is concealed inside the Box itself.
