PCS' SceneMaster System Wins Mark of Excellence "Product of the Year" Award

The Home Automation Association has named the Powerline Control Systems' SceneMaster System as the 1999 Mark of Excellence "Product of the Year". Distinguished finalists were selected from ten award categories including Technology, User Interface, Interoperability, Energy Management, and Security.

The SceneMaster System can trigger any group of lights to immediately proceed to their lighting level with an ordinary X-10 command. The system can produce expensive-looking and responsive scene lighting comparable to that found in hard-wired systems at about one-third the cost. PCS is incorporating SceneMaster features in all versions of their product line.

The single channel Smart Switch (SS1) is a true-rocker, wall-mounted switch that can deliver 1000W. The two-channel Multi-Modules (MM2) are 800W devices that can be plugged into common power outlets and are perfect for quick installation of plug-in lamps.

The single-channel (LM1) and four-channel (LM4) Lighting Modules provide 2000W to up to four lights in a homerun-type wiring setup. The SS1s, LM1s and LM4s also have remote switch capability for multi-way control.
