Ortronics Expands In House™ Product Offering and
Brings the Future Home

Offering Residential and SOHO Multimedia
Structured Cabling System Solutions

Ortronics Inc., the performance and flexibility people in structured cabling systems worldwide, expands their In House™ product offering with new additional cabinets and stylish wall plates. In House is a complete residential and SOHO (small office/home office) structured cabling system for multimedia applications such as voice, data, audio, video, internet, security and other electronic services.

Ortronics provides the cabling infrastructure that becomes part of the telecommunications system built right into the walls of an owner's new home or office. To support this system, a variety of networking products are available including Category 5, fiber optic and coax distribution cabinets and multimedia wall outlets.

The In House Cabinet is the common distribution point of the whole home automation system. There are three styles of cabinets available depending on an owners’ application. Cabinets are modular in design and accommodate a variety of In House Media Panels allowing for easy installation, moves, adds and changes and troubleshooting. Cabinets allow for an Ethernet hub and/or ISDN connection.

With In House consumers can take advantage of converging technologies, as they develop, well into the future and In House neighborhoods can benefit from bundled outside services such as lower cost CATV and internet.

The original 14.5" W x 21" H x 4" D cabinet has an over-all white powder coat of tough enamel on heavy gauge galvanized steel that provides optimum durability against scratches and corrosion. This cabinet has a removable hinged door that can be placed for left or right opening with a key-lock for security. Also, it extends out to conceal the rough edges of sheetrock openings.

The new 14.5" W x 28" H x 4" D cabinet is heavy gauge galvanized steel that has a white screw on, non-hinged door with lock.

Both cabinets accommodate any combination of In House Media Panels. They mount between standard wall studs and are recessed to be flush with the wall surface. Cabinets have an internal center rail for mounting modular components. For additional flexibility and mounting of custom component, center rails are also available in removable ½ and ¾ lengths, which are removable allowing for additional options and components. Snap-in cable exit rings protect twisted pair, coaxial, fiber optic and other media cables. For internal cable management there is a slot pattern for hook and loop cable management straps.

In House Media Panels offer the installer or end-user the flexibility to configure telecommunications and other electronic services to their specific needs with the ability to upgrade as technology advances. In House Host, Station, Video, Audio and other Media Panels are currently available.

The new In House Compact Cabinet is designed for smaller environments. The 14 1/2" W x 12" H x 4" D cabinet is constructed of heavy gauge galvanized steel and comes with a screw-on removable door that extends out to conceal the rough edges of sheetrock openings. It accommodates an In House compact Host/Station Assembly with room for a video splitter and audio panel. Also, the cabinet mounts between standard wall studs and is recessed to be flush with the wall surface.

A large selection of new TracJack™ Residential Wall Plates and the original In House Wall Plates are available for voice, data, audio, video and other multimedia applications. Both style wall plates accommodate TracJack snap-in modules for the ultimate in flexibility, enhanced performance and ease of installation, moves, adds or changes. Not only do the new TrackJack Residential Wall Plates have smooth simple lines to fit any décor, but they are also available with two to six TracJack module openings and have slotted mounting holes for proper alignment. All Wall Plates are made of a durable unbreakable nylon material.

A complete line of labeling, cable management and accessories are also available.
