Top Entry in Niles New iPower Line Earns Innovations Award
IPC-12 Intelligent Power Control System Offers Power Protection, A/V Enhancements and System Integration Features
MIAMI, FL, Feb. 16, 1999 - Niles Audio Corporation, maker of a uniquely broad and deep line of products for multiroom audio and video distribution and entertainment, has received the prestigious Innovations 99 Design and Engineering Award for the IPC-12 Intelligent Power Control System. The IPC-12 is the flagship model in a new iPower line of microprocessor-based AC powerline products designed to protect valuable electronic components from damaging power conditions, and improve the performance of audio/video products.
Niles iPower Intelligent Management Systems feature iQ Impulse Noise Filtration, iDefinition Technology for continuous impedance coax protection, and i3 Three-Stage Power Protection. They exceed the performance requirements of HDTV and DBS signals, and have the capability of unleashing the performance potential of home entertainment systems.
This series of microprocessor-based AC power line manager provides a unique combination of advanced surge protection, line filtering and automated turn-on sequencing carefully designed to protect and preserve home entertainment systems. Niles achieves this breakthrough by a series of proprietary refinements not available in similar devices by other manufacturers. Thatıs why all iPower components include:
i3 Three-Stage Circuit Topology. Provides instant response to harmful power spikes and surges, reacting far faster than similar devices, while allowing fewer volts to pass through. In addition, i3 circuits, unlike other suppression circuits, are not sacrificial in nature. As a result, they are not deactivated by spikesthey simply keep working.
iDefinition Technology. Guarantees full impedance continuity for DBS and HDTV audio and video signals so that only the signals reach the intended component, unaccompanied by reflections, distortions, ghosting or other unwanted characteristics.
iQ Impulse Noise Filtering. Specifically developed to achieve the noise suppression characteristics and proper power line loading needed for high current amplifiers and high-resolution video gear. Allows A/V components to perform at their full potential.
As flagship of the line, the IPC-12 protects and enhances the performance of valuable electronic components, and also includes such installer-friendly features as programmable, microprocessor-controlled power-up and shut-down capabilities, true line diagnostics and feedback, a versatile A and B trigger system that responds to 3-30V AC or DC, and a proprietary AC trigger adapter with a pass through for the efficient use of power resources.
The IPC-12s UL approved surge-suppression circuit offers 1550 joules of protection with less than 40 volts of surge let-through. The unit features an automated turn-on circuit, and its 12 outlets can be individually programmed for switched, unswitched or delayed operation.
The IPC-12 measures a slim 3-1/2 inches high, 17 inches wide and 12 inches deep. It is housed in a stylish high-tech component chassis which features an extruded aluminum front panel with an LED display. Optional mounting "ears" enable the IPC-12 to be combined with other rack-mounted components in a permanent installation.
A $100,000 connected equipment guarantee and a limited lifetime product warranty offer additional protection.
The IPC-12 Intelligent Power Control System is available from Niles dealers for a suggested price of $499.95.
