Leviton Telcom introduces the industry's first Universal Fiber Optic Toolkit, designed to eliminate the need for two separate kits or redundant tools when installing single- or multimode connectors for ST, SC or FC fiber.

Field technicians helped design this 'ultimate' toolkit, making it compact, lightweight, cost-effective and complete. Each component has been selected for reliability and cross-functionality so that the installer is never without a solution. The kit can be used with any connector brand--and is the only toolkit that technicians installing Leviton's Thread-Lock fiber connectors will ever need.

200x Inspection Scope
* Oblique viewing technology and 200X magnification allow techs to view MM and SM end-face polishes safely, and be less likely to over-polish (a side effect of many co­axial inspection scopes).
* Provides full laser eye protection through wavelengths of 850­1550 nanometer -- increasingly important as VCSEL (vertical cavity surface-emitting laser) light-launch systems become more common in premises wiring systems.
* Rugged construction stands up to jobsite abuse.

Jacket Stripper
* Removes all types of cable outer jacket: 3.0mm, 2.5mm, and 2.0mm.

Buffer Removers (2)
* 900 micron for PVC coatings.
* 250 micron for PVC coatings, outer jackets, and the acrylate coating on bare fiber.

Sapphire Scribe
* Yellow blade for easy visibility in contrast to the fiber while scribing.
* Angled blade helps the technician position the tip to scribe the fiber approximately 100 microns in front of the ferrule.

Polishing Puck
* Can be used for single- and multi-mode ST, SC, and FC connectors.
* Uniquely designed to stabilize the connector during the polishing process and eliminate the need to press down hard on the polishing surface.

Polishing Pad
* Rubber material provides a flexible, shatterproof, non-slip surface for lapping film.
* Sized perfectly for lapping film in Leviton Telcom Consumable Kits.

Carrying Case
* Durable material for extended field use.
* Room for all included tools, plus a few extra tools or consumables.
* Lightweight, compact design with belt loop is easily carried without fatigue into places where work space is limited.
