ISC Expo Miami ’99 to Feature Seminars in Spanish

Others to be simultaneously translated into Spanish and Portuguese

When ISC Miami ’99 debuts in May, feature sessions for the first time will be presented in Spanish as well as simultaneously translated in Spanish and Portuguese. Held May 4-5, 1999 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida, the two-day event is already attracting a large number of dealers and distributors from Latin and South America.

While ISC has always been an international event, the move is intended to strengthen both the event and its relationship with the Latin and South American security marketplaces. According to Reed, a growing number of attendees have specifically requested Spanish and Portuguese training.

"ISC Expo is dedicated to providing our Spanish and Portuguese-speaking attendees with an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies, techniques and products in their own language. A better understanding of product applications will enhance relations between international dealers and U.S. manufacturers," said Ron Spiller, Executive Director of the Security Industry Association (SIA).

"Our goal has always been to work together to create new business opportunities between our continents. We are very excited that we can now accommodate our Spanish and Portuguese-speaking attendees at ISC Expo Miami by providing them with high-caliber seminars in their own language," said Eileen Baird, Vice President of ISC Expo

The ISC Expo Miami in its premier outing is rapidly attracting Latin and South American attendees as well as receiving the endorsements of several associations. ISC Expo recently received the endorsements of the Associacion Latino Americana de Seguridad (ALAS) and the Associacao Brasileira des Empresas de Seguranca Electronica (ABESE). ALAS is the association of Latin American security dealers and distributors with chapters in 22 countries. ABESE is an organization of Brazilian security dealers, installers and distributors.

ISC EXPO Miami is sponsored by the Security Industry Association (SIA). It is endorsed by Associacion Latino Americana de Seguridad (ALAS), Associacao Brasileira des Empresas de Seguranca Electronica (ABESE), the Alarm Association of Florida (AAF), Closed Circuit Television Manufacturers Association (CCTMA), Security Magazine and Security Distribution & Marketing Magazine.

ISC EXPO is held three times each year: March 10-12, 1999 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada; May 4-5 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida; and August 31 – September 2, 1999 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York, NY.
