Domosys Corporation, the leading supplier of CEBus / Home Plug & Play compliant technology, released a few weeks ago the DomoNet Module for installers. Installers now have a tool to qualify sites for CEBus installations and to facilitate troubleshooting. The DomoNet is a handheld receive/transmit module that allows installers and end-users to easily verify the reception success rate for CEBus packets between different points in a building. Any necessary adjustments can then be made before installing new nodes.

In receive mode, the DomoNet indicates both instantaneous and cumulative reception success rates. Five LEDs give an instantaneous indication of reception success. The DomoNet display indicates the cumulative reception success rate of packets for the current test.

Installers can use various combinations of DomoNet modules to qualify large houses and buildings. The DomoNet modules can also facilitate troubleshooting situations when used in conjunction with the CETester software.

"The DomoNet is the first site qualification and troubleshooting tool available for CEBus installers" said Domosys president Evan Price. "Installers now have the tools and products that they need to provide CEBus solutions for their customers". A basic set of two DomoNet modules is available for US$299. Additional units are available for US$199 each.
