Former AMP Building Systems Division
Incorporates as OnQ Technologies, Inc.

Harrisburg, PA (May 1, 1999) - AMP Building Systems, the division of AMP Incorporated that created the award winning OnQ Home Wiring System, has become OnQ Technologies, Inc. The new entity, OnQ Technologies, is a privately held corporation formed by the management and employees of the former AMP Building Systems Division.

The award winning and proven industry standard, OnQ Home Wiring System, will continue to be the company's flagship product line. OnQ provides the critical wiring infrastructure for whole house distribution of multiple telephone lines, high-speed data, cable and satellite TV in a flexible, modular design which can easily accommodate future technologies.

"Being an employee-led organization was key to the formation of OnQ Technologies," said Doug Fikse, president. "Having entered the home wiring business in 1985, our employees have a tremendous amount of experience in working with builders and installers on home wiring and home management systems," Fikse added.

In addition to Fikse, other members of the OnQ Technologies management team include: Jim Devin, vice president of sales; Charles Tartaglione, vice president of regional sales, west; Stu Rutherford, vice president of operations; Todd Regar, director of marketing; Larry Hall, director of product development; Gary Smothers, controller; Bill Savage, technical support manager; Gary Axe, manufacturing manager and Cathy Weikel, operations manager.

"While our company name has changed, our customers can expect the same high quality OnQ products being distributed through their current channels without interruption," said Fikse.

The OnQ Home Wiring System was recently named as one of the Top 150 Most Requested Products in 1998 from Building Products Magazine and also received the Mark of Excellence Award for Interoperable Products in 1998 from the Home Automation Association.

The OnQ Home Wiring System and Home Management System are sold and installed through the nationwide network of OnQ dealers and distributors. For more information, call (800) 321-2343 or Click Here!
