The Z-630 PreAmp Controller is a multi-zone preamp that provides independent control of source audio from three separate listening zones of the users home. A second Z-630 can be added for up to six zones of stereo or monaural music without the need for additional sources. Because of its "loop through" capability, sources can be distributed between two Z-630’s or the Z-630 and a main room stereo system or surround sound processor. Buffered source input/outputs and stereo zone outputs provide stereo and monaural configuration options not found in other multi-zone products.

Control of the Z-630 is performed with either the Z-630’s hand held IR remote (via IR receivers in each room/listening zone) or utilizing "IR learning" in-wall keypads (the Z-Pad line of in-wall keypads). Expanded control and user feedback for any zone is available when using the Z-Pad’s and the Z-630. Each Z-630 can accommodate up to six in-wall keypads for direct access and feedback of source equipment functions.

With its three zone/six source control and "zone specific" tonal/sonic EQ features, this remote-controlled preamp is the best value in multi-room audio. The user can take an existing main room stereo system and expand it to a whole house system at a cost below what they would normally pay for a mid-priced stereo system.
