Reliable conference rooms in companies are a crucial part of business. The importance of an elegant, classy, and innovated conference room can enhance presentations and meetings. This is a rapidly growing trend among all the top business all over the world. With the right advancement in technology these conference rooms are used to hold worldwide company meetings via videoconference.

You may ask yourself at this moment; Why not just connect one VGA cable to a display or projector? It is simple, cost effective, and very easy to install. This method is highly popular in the past years. As technology has advanced and the popularity of implementing an AV system has increased, more companies are implementing AV solutions in there conference rooms.

The Department of Neurological Surgery at UCSF treat’s patients with neurosurgical disorders on a daily basis. This center staff’s some of the leading physicians and scientists in the field of neurosurgical. The center works tremendously hard searching for new cures and therapy methods. With a dedicated faculty, and supporters, and patients, it is no wonder that the UCSF Department of Neurological Surgery at UCSF is one of the top ranked facilities in the world.

The Brain and Spinal Injury Center at USCF wanted to implement an AV system for their conference room. With this particular goal in mind, the center chose “Mr. Home Theater” as there AV installer. With over ten years experience in the AV industry, Zayed Mhimla was more than qualified to take on this application. From flat panel installs, to complex AV systems, “Mr. Home Theater” produces top notch installs on a daily basis.

Problem:
Mr. Mhimla had the task of developing an AV system that needed to distribute a Local PC source, and 2 open ports to 3 different displays. One of the displays would be in the reception area, and the other two in the conference area.  The key was reliability, but also Mr.Mhimla focused on not compromising the quality of a video signal the system would produced. After researching many AV manufactures, “Mr. Home Theater”, chose ATLONA Technology.

ATLONA Technology is a rapidly growing AV manufacture based out in Sunnyvale, CA. With a solution for almost every aspect of AV systems, ATLONA was able to be the solution that ZAYED AND USCF was looking for.  With an award winning product line, Mr. Mhimla was able to integrated Cables, switches, and even extenders without needing to go to another manufacture to finish the system. With a highly stocked inventory, ATLONA enables AV integrators to have an outlet for all they need for a system.

Solution:
ATLONA’s long line of solutions allowed “Mr. Home Theater” to choose from many AV solutions to implement in this system. The AT-HD-V44M is the main unit the brain of the whole setup. This is a highly advance 4 by 4 HDMI matrix switcher. The 1 local PC is connected as with 2 AT-HD500’s. The Atlona AT-HD500 is designed to take video signal from PC or Laptop and upscale it to digital HDMI output of wide-range HDTV and PC resolutions, up to 1080p or WUXGA (1920x1200).

The HD500s VGA inputs are connected to 2 VGA cables with audio attached to the conference room table. This allows the user at any moment to use up to 2 laptops in the conference room. The content can be passed to the 3 displays by using the brain of the operation the matrix unit AT-HDV44M.

After all this was done, the signals had to be extended to 3 different locations ranging from 50-80ft distances. Mr. Mhimla chose the ATLONA AT-HD-V40SRS. ATLONA’S single cat5/6 HDMI extender solution was the perfect fit to extend the HDMI in this AV system. All signals were run up to 1080p resolution on the displays in this AV application.

The 4x4 Atlona HDMI Matrix Switcher with RS-232 and IR Remote is designed to work as a switcher for multiple sources and displays. A maximum bandwidth of 1.65Gbps will support a sharp and highly defined video in multiple resolutions of up to 1080p.

The Atlona AT-HD500 is designed to take video signal from PC or Laptop and upscale it to digital HDMI output of wide-range HDTV and PC resolutions, up to 1080p or WUXGA (1920x1200).

The Atlona AT-HD-V40SRS is a perfect solution for those who need to extend HDMI signal for a long distance over a single low cost cat5 or cat6 cable. The Atlona HDMI Extenders can handle HDMI 1.3 standard and high resolutions up to 1080p at up to 110ft and 1080i up to 200ft.

Conclusion:
Implementing an AV solution for your company conference rooms is an affordable investment that carries a higher return for your company in the long run. Most companies have international ventures and partners, and with the cost of traveling at its highest, Companies are able to save money by limiting travel ventures for their employees. Instead, Video conference meetings can be held, and in return allows less money being spent on travel expenses. As the business world moves towards a more innovated technology make over, Companies will have to adjust to stay competitive.
