Time again for the Show!

What time is it? It's InfoComm time. Where else can you have so much fun being wowed by the latest audio visual technology? Once a year, at the world's largest A/V show you can see and touch the latest equipment, attend informative educational seminars, and meet other experts in the industry.

There is so much to do at this show; it needs to be two days longer. The InfoComm University has hands on workshops to hone your skills. There are Audio, Signage, Communications, Live Events, Worship and Security Pavilions. And don't forget the receptions where you can meet old friends and make new ones. If you already haven't make your reservations today in Orlando, Florida for the 13th - 19th, don't wait any longer.

The Innovations Showcase is new this year. Thirteen companies that have never exhibited at InfoComm before have been selected for the attendees to vote on the most innovative product. That company will receive a prize of $10,000.

The pavilion that I think will be the most exciting is the Unmanned Systems and Drone Pavilion, which will feature a presentation area where exhibitors can perform demonstrations and show how drones can be an A/V solution for your customers.

If you are an audiophile, the Audio Pavilion will have 250 of the leading audio suppliers.  Stop by the audio demo rooms where you can hear the best in audio. Learn to work with digital signage at the Solutions Summit, where digital signage will be discussed from multiple perspectives, such as higher education, corporate, and retail.

If lighting is your specialty, spend a day learning to program one of the most innovative lighting consoles on the market. The Jands Vista lighting console is unlike any other you‘ll have seen. Its simple visual interface brings a whole new world of speed, ease of use and sheer intuitiveness to the art of lighting.

Starting June 13 is a three day seminar on Sound Reinforcement for Technicians; put on by SynAudCon with hands-on exercises on measuring voltage, impedance, polarity, SPL and STIPA and what these actually mean. You'll learn how to remove hum or buzz; figure out the proper settings for digital signal processing; and how to optimize a system.

Looking for a how-to guide on putting pre-show planning into practice to reduce problems onsite? Enroll in the Staging and Live Events three-day course. You'll learn how to analyze infrastructure – including power, rigging and labor – and will leave with a big-picture view of how the diverse parts of staging an event all work together.

One of the show’s most popular Tuesday sessions, Future Trends, will hit on all things audio visual, including a special section on live events as an AV laboratory. Learn about the technologies that will change the way you and your clients put on events.

On Wednesday, it's show time—time to put on your running shoes and head for the exhibit hall. Check out these products.

In booth 102, is AiRocks Pro road ready radio, which operates as a receiver and transmitter (repeater) so that the signal that it receives is "re-transmitted" to other AiRocks Pro units downstream, extending the RF coverage area for any venue, indoors or outdoors. The AiRocks Pro comes in a sturdy, weather-resistant aluminum enclosure that is built to withstand the harsh life on the road. Gone are the days of panic when a rain shower arrives during an event and your wireless equipment is exposed to the elements.

You have to stop by booth 3415 and see Draper's new and unique screen boom, which allows the installation of a motorized screen on an operable arm. The system can be stored with the screen retracted nearly flat against the wall. When the screen is needed, the boom swings out up to 90° and the screen is lowered. The system is perfect for settings where typical ceiling or wall installation is impractical.

Beale Street Audio is in booth 107 with its Sonic Vortex technology for deep, rich bass unlike anything you have heard in a small speaker enclosure. Listen once and the story will tell itself. Located in Memphis, Tennessee, Beale Street Audio is based around music and entertainment.

Blizzard Lighting (Booth 6372) will show the Pocket Photon, which packs a galaxy of laser power into a tiny package. Loaded with an 80mw green and 150mw red laser and a super-bright 3-watt blue LED, the Photon blasts tons of laser excitement into any venue.  The Pocket Photon generates dozens of different patterns through a wide-angle aperture for awesome coverage.

If you are looking for access security, stop by booth 179 and check out CDVI's complete range of access control solutions, stand-alone and PC based access control, cards & readers, keypads, wireless products, biometrics, locks and accessories. Their newest product, ATRIUM, is an advanced controller that has a webserver built-in on-board along with many features not found in other access control products.

In booth 5351, Vicoustic North America presents its line of affordable acoustic panels and sound isolation products. These acoustic solutions are designed to satisfy the most extreme demands of the acoustic spectrum for home theater, restaurants, offices, schools, houses of worship and auditoriums.

Ushio America, Inc. in booth 6844 is a manufacturer of specialty lighting solutions and has provided the highest reliability in halogen and high pressure lamp technology for many years. Their Pro-Panel V2 1x2 and 2x2 is a variable color temperature soft light for the cinematography, video broadcast, and professional photography market. The diffused softness of the Pro-Panel eliminates the harsh glare and multiple shadow effects associated with typical budget LED panel lights.

Gear Box Pro Ltd. (Booth 118) designs, manufactures, and sells cable management systems for the entertainment industry. Gear Box specializes in cable management and distribution systems for audio speaker, audio signal, and A/C power. Through the use of proprietary technology, Gear Box Pro offers cable management system components that are smaller, more reliable, flexible, and providing a cost effective solution to distribute cabling than traditionally utilized by the audio industry.

Goget AB (Sweden) in booth 5585e is a leading producer of meeting room digital signage systems. Their products can be used to quickly and effectively book meeting rooms via the email calendar or the convenient touch-enabled displays outside each room.

Explore the in-wall docking solutions in booth 3291 from iRoom for any interior for the iPad and iPad mini. It turns an iPad or iPad mini into an in-wall control, audio and video streaming or digital signage device. The unique motorized opening and closing system of iRoom’s iDock offers the possibility to still utilize the full portable functionality of the iPad.

Are you in the market for a 4K home cinema projector? Stop by JVC's booth 2790. The DLA-RS67 is JVC's top-of-the-line D-ILA home theater projector. Native contrast ratio has been increased to 150,000:1 thanks to new D-ILA devices, new wire grid polarizer and a new "Clear Black" technology. Now with an Intelligent Lens Aperture, the dynamic contrast is a breathtaking 1.5 million to 1. Images are projected with 4K precision due to JVC's upgraded "e-shift3" technology which now accepts native 4K input signals. This translates to the most dramatic master-quality images ever produced on a JVC projector.

KwikBoost Charging Stations for smartphones, tablets and more can be found in booth 4382. They have a patented design that provides the best charging experience that will fit any of your needs. They offer wall-mounted and floor-stand charging stations, charging tables and charging lockers. Their charging stations can support several devices at once, including iPhones, Androids, Kindles, iPads and just about anything in-between.

You might want to stop by booth 5585a to see the Lionsharp Voiceboard. With Voiceboard, you can embed interactive media like maps, web-based applications, twitter feeds, a blog, website, videos and more right inside your presentation, using a clicker, nod ring or mobile phone.

In booth 3991, you will find a unique new film screen and true white and interactive board from Italy's Screen Line.  Screen-App is both a screen for interactive projectors and a white board for erasable and rewritable writing which can be attached to the wall in a few seconds thanks to its adhesive back side. It can be removed and re-positioned due to the extraordinary characteristics of the dot-applied glue. This allows the installer to try and position the screen several times before finding the final position without damaging the product.

These are just a few of the exceptional new products that you can see on the show floor. Whether you are a user, installer, or show producer, InfoComm 2015 is where you need to be.
