From 14th to 16th of March 2007, AURESIDE (Brazilian Association of Home Automation) organized the VI Brazilian Congress of Home Automation - VI HABITAR.

The main objective was to show other diverse applications not very explored in Brazil yet, leaving aside the luxury that Home Automation adds to projects, and focusing on social and sustainable applications.

The themes discussed, though, were as follows:

  • Automation for disabled people
  • Automation and sustainability;
  • Automation for home care;
  • Security and integration with Audio and Video,

There was a public of approximately 250 participants, during the three days of congress.

For this, we counted with the collaboration of Philips, Intel, Fujitsu and Bosch, and it was possible to know what these great players are developing for medical applications, digital TV, access and security.

With the participation of the handicapped speakers, Renato Laurenti and Marco Pelegrini, the congressmen had had a lesson of life, besides understanding the importance that Home Automation systems has in the life of deficiency carriers.

Furthermore, with the lectures on sustainability presented by architects Daniela Corcuera from ANAB and Paula Espinosa from Somfy, the participants could understand how our sector can collaborate with one of the greatest human challenges that is global heating. Juarez Guerra from Finder presented a real case where the company applied its products in a commercial building. Finally, Orlando Barrozo showed the last market trends of Audio Video and Automation presented in CES 2007, Las Vegas.

Parallel to the Congress, it was possible to know new technologies and applications presented by the sponsors in the expositors space: All Converge, Aertecnica, DK Systems, Finder, Future House, High Light, Neocontrol, Suonare, Tyco, Z-Wave.

Congressmen had the possibility to participate of qualification training, of Finder and Neocontrol products.

We were very pleased to realize through the participants' commentaries, that our main goals were achieved.
